Celebrating the 1940s, ALL welcome for a great weekend.   

A huge thanks to everyone who supported us this year.

The event was a great success.

Hats off to everyone who worked so hard.

The museum attendance figures exceeded any previous event and our efforts will help the Pumping Station throughout the next year.

   COOPERS GENERAL STORE      

       and 1940s LIVING ROOM          

 

                               

 

Our re creation of a 1940s General Store,  with many brand names still  nostalgicaly remembered, Clearly displayed products and history, Rationed items, Recycling for the war effort, "Service with a smile" With over 200 products depicting a range of the goods available in the late 30s and 40s our wartime shop evokes memories, entertains and educates.

 

Our 1940s living room can be used as a photo set for re enactors and the public, home life remembered.
